The terrible suicide femicide case took place last Monday in Streeterville, a neighborhood on the north side of Chicago, in the state of Illinois.

The 29-year-old professional photographer for the past few months has been in front of the camera on TikTok, where she openly recounted her divorce from what became her executioner, telling about a love he described as toxic.
Khan also posted a post about the cultural stigma of divorce in his community. In a video, she wrote, “Divorcing like a South Asian woman feels like you’ve failed at life sometimes.”

The alarm went off in the early afternoon when police were called to a condo for some shootings. At the scene they found a 29-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman with gunshot wounds to the head. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
“He took all the right steps. She’s gone. He had a restraining order. He changed the locks. But it’s tragic to find that Did not help” a friend of the victim said bitterly.
