Moscow accuses Kiev of targeting it with drone bombing, with huge risks, while Ukraine accuses Russia of having used it as an ammunition depot with possible equally serious consequences.

That the ground war between Russia and Ukraine from the beginning was aimed at controlling energy infrastructure is evident and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine is a prime example of this.

Post as one of the main objectives in the early stages of the offensive Russo, on its outskirts the two armies fought at huge risks before the Ukrainians withdrew, leaving the field to the Russians.

Ukraine has long denounced the dangers of the nuclear power plant due to the inability of Ukrainian technicians to change or work well due to the Russian armed presence, but now tensions have escalated further after an alleged request by Moscow troops.

According to Energoatom, the state-owned company that oversees nuclear plants in Ukraine, the Russians have imposed their access to the engine rooms at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to store your “entire military arsenal”

“Russian military forces are asking the administration of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to open the engine rooms of the first, second and third units in order to deposit the entire military arsenal. It seems safe for the occupants as they are very afraid of receiving ‘gifts’ of the Ukrainian Armed Forces”, commented Energoatom in a note.

In fact, this is just the latest alarm raised by Energoatom, whose president, Pedro Kotin, had already announced that Russia was using the Zaporizhzhia plant as a base for weapons storageincluding missile systems.

Russia on your side instead accused Kiev of attacking the area of the plant with drones, bombing it. “Ukrainian nationalist formations used two kamikaze drones to attack the structures of the Zaporozhzhia nuclear power plant, one drone was destroyed during the approach to the plant,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement, adding that “it was only by luck that this happened not to lead to damage to plant equipment and a man-made disaster.”

The attack took place last Monday.. Enerhodar city mayor Dmytro Orlov said Russian troops “were rushed to the city hospital with injuries of varying severity. Some were hospitalized and one was in intensive care.” “There are also dead people, but at the moment we cannot give their exact number,” he added.

Kiev has not commented on the news, but the situation remains extremely tense and a The smallest accident at the nuclear power plant can have apocalyptic consequences.
