four people dead after being shot while they were camping, is the tragic result of a footage which was consumed today in a USA camping in the state of Iowa that triggered the maximum emergency.
The alarm rang in the morning of friday, around 6:30 am local time, around 1:30 pm in Italy. The call to police spoke of shootings inside Maquoketa Cave State Park, a state park in eastern Iowa full of campers, including a few kids at a summer camp.
When agents and rescuers arrived at the scene, they were found three lifeless peopleshot dead.
The emergency plan was immediately triggered and while the police searched the area for a possible killer, the park was evacuated and then closed.
A summer camp for children organized on site, issued a notice to parents that a collection point had been created for the children.
Finally, while patrolling the area, she was found dead. a fourth person, a 23 year old boy identified as Anthony Orlando Sherwin. He was also shot, but died presumably from wounds he voluntarily inflicted. O I suspect he is the perpetrator of the three crimes previously discovered.
The Iowa Department of Public Safety said there was no threat to the population. the park will remain closed until further notice.
“I am horrified by the shooting this morning at Maquoketa Caves State Park and devastated by the loss of three innocent lives. Upon learning of this unimaginable tragedy, we pray for the families of the victims and the police who intervened at the scene. We urge everyone to do the same,” said Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds.
