Memphis Police announced that they found the body of a woman last night, Monday, September 5th. According to the investigations carried out, it would be Eliza Fletcher, the 34-year-old woman who disappeared Friday morning near the US university campus.

In video surveillance footage of the area, a man is seen approaching the 34-year-old teacher and then forcing her into a black SUV parked not far from the jogging lane.

Cleotha Abston, a 38-year-old man driving a black SUV captured on camera, was arrested on the morning of September 5 for the kidnapping. However, the kidnapper declined to give details of Fletcher’s whereabouts. At the base of the kidnapping would be economic reasons: the teacher was in fact there grandson of an important American businessmanJoseph Joe Orgill III, founder of Orgill Inc. The woman inherited a large sum of money from him, but invested in charitable projects.

According to the investigator, Abston was about to demand a ransom from Fletcher’s family. The causes of the professor’s death are still unknown: the exams carried out by the coroner will determine them. As reported by the police, the body was found in an alley not far from the 34-year-old’s home.

It is speculated that the teacher died shortly after her kidnapping, but these details will be confirmed after medical examinations. Abston would have planned everything down to the smallest detail without calculating the presence of cameras. The man actually waited for the teacher to arrive for 24 minutes before forcing her into the car by force.

The evidence therefore shows that the 38-year-old was familiar with the kindergarten teacher’s habits. The investigator believes that the woman had never seen her attacker before and that the man studied her schedules only through stalking.
