Vladimir Putin’s “United Russia” party has proposed holding a referendum on the annexation of Ukrainian territories under the control of Moscow forces on November 4, National Unity Day.

The secretary of “United Russia”, Andrei Turchak, proposed holding the vote “on self-determination in the Donbass republics and liberated territories”, as Moscow considers the areas under its control in Ukraine.
