The funeral of state of Isabel IIin the presence of the British Royal Family, heads of state from many countries, Prime Ministers, Kings and Princes, began this Monday on the Westminster Abbeyin central London.
The coffin with the remains of the Queenwho died on 8 September, was transported from Westminster Hall (in Parliament), where the funeral chapel was open for several days, on a gun carriage drawn by more than a hundred British naval seamen.
King Carlos III and his three brothers, Princess Ana and Princes Andrés and Eduardo, as well as Princes Guillermo and Enrique, grandsons of Isabel II, walked beside the coffin. Princes George and Charlotte also paraded along with their parents, the Princes of Wales.
The chest remains covered with the Royal Standard, the Imperial Crown; the royal orb, a piece representing the Christian world, the golden scepter, symbolizing power, and a crown of flowers.
