Dozens of fans turned out at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport to give Youssef El Arabi a hero’s welcome after the Moroccan striker completed what the club describes as the biggest signing in its history.
Marko, a club from the Mesogia region, are targeting promotion to the Stoiximan Super League next season and secured the 39-year-old forward as a central part of that push. El Arabi previously played for Olympiacos from 2019 to 2024.
The entire Marko board was also present at the airport, reflecting the excitement that has surrounded the club since El Arabi agreed to the move. The striker decided to return to Greece specifically to wear the Marko shirt.
