Spanish singer Rosalía apologized to her Argentine fans during her concert at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires following a controversial World Cup social media post.
The performance marked the opening show of her LUX Tour in Argentina, where she spoke directly to an audience of about 15,000 attendees. She expressed regret over the controversy generated after she shared a publication about the Argentine national team's defeat against Spain in the 2026 World Cup final.
Although the Spanish artist had previously issued an apology online, she decided to address her fans in person at the venue. Visibly emotional, she explained that she simply felt curious, did a quick repost without looking into it too deeply, and called it a massive mistake that was never her intention.
During her message, she recalled the affection she has received since her first visit to Argentina and assured the crowd that her love for the country remains the same as on her first day. She remembered her first performance in the nation at the Lollapalooza festival in 2019 during the early years of her career.
She then sang the first lines of her song Pienso en tu mirá a cappella before the crowd joined in to finish the track. Rosalía said she would never forget the feeling of accomplishment from that performance, noting it was the first time she felt that sensation outside her home country.
The performer of La Perla also highlighted the ongoing support from her Argentine fanbase throughout her career. She described them as the best audience on Earth, praising them for always singing every song and giving their all during her shows.

The controversy originated the day after Spain defeated Argentina in the 2026 World Cup final held at MetLife Stadium. Following the match, Mia Khalifa posted a social media video recorded in New York in which she pretended to sing a segment of Rosalía's song La Perla alongside a caption referencing the defeat of the Albiceleste.
The situation expanded after the Spanish singer shared the post on her Instagram stories, triggering a wave of criticism from Argentine users. As the backlash grew on social media, both Rosalía and Mia Khalifa deleted the video from their respective accounts.
