Former Panathinaikos player Sotiris Ninis and SKAI reporter Elena Papadopoulou were soaked when pitch sprinklers turned on at the OAKA stadium on August 5, 2026.
Ninis returned to the stadium to commentate for television channel SKAI on the Conference League match between Panathinaikos and CSKA 1948. The incident occurred before kickoff while Ninis was giving statements to Papadopoulou.
Both Ninis and Papadopoulou took the unexpected soaking calmly.
