A 16-year-old motorcyclist fell into a 30-meter ravine after a crash on the Kompoti-Skoulikaria provincial road in Gianniotis, in the Arta region of Greece, on Monday afternoon, August 10.

According to initial information, a private car collided with the motorcycle under circumstances that have not yet been clarified. The teenage rider was thrown off the road and fell into the ravine.

Nine firefighters with three vehicles rushed to the scene and organized a rescue operation. They used specialized equipment and ropes to bring the young motorcyclist up from the steep spot where he had fallen.

Taken to hospital

The teenager was then transported by ambulance from the National Center for Emergency Care (EKAV), injured, to the hospital.
