Bad Bunny: 1.5 Million Fans Join Virtual Queue for Tickets

Bad Bunny saw more than 1.5 million fans enter a virtual queue on Wednesday as ticket sales opened for his final two tour concerts in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Puerto Rican singer and composer will close his international tour, titled "Debí tirar más fotos," with performances on August 22 and August 23 at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium in his native land.

Online ticketing platform PR Tickets began selling tickets at 10:00 a.m. local time for the two shows, which are produced by Noah Assad Presents and Move Concerts, news agency EFE reported. Re-sale of tickets was already reported shortly after sales commenced.

The virtual sale was opened exclusively to Banco Popular cardholders. Event organizers established strict purchasing limits, allowing a maximum of four tickets per transaction and restricting customers to one transaction per card.

Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is a multi-award-winning Puerto Rican artist who has achieved global mainstream popularity with Spanish-language reggaeton and Latin trap music. The Hiram Bithorn Stadium, located in Puerto Rico's capital city of San Juan, is the island's premier outdoor venue, named in honor of the first Puerto Rican athlete to play in Major League Baseball.

Venue Access and Event Restrictions

The area surrounding the stadium will feature a local market alongside interactive sponsor experiences. Organizers specified that the surrounding grounds will not be open to members of the public who do not possess a ticket for the concert.

Doors at the stadium are set to open at 11:30 a.m. local time (15:30 GMT), with the concerts starting at 6:00 p.m. local time (22:00 GMT). Organizers confirmed that no parking will be available anywhere on the auditorium premises.

A strict list of prohibited items has been announced for the venue. Security will deny entry to anyone carrying umbrellas, backpacks, large purses, chairs, coolers, professional cameras, selfie sticks, masks, controlled substances, weapons or sharp objects, as well as outside food and drinks.

Tour Conclusion and Career Milestones

The upcoming performances mark the end of an extensive international tour that took the artist to stadiums across 22 cities on four continents. The singer is bringing the trek to a close where it originally started, returning to his native archipelago after launching the tour with his historic Residency performance.

The tour finale follows a series of major career milestones for the Puerto Rican artist this year. Bad Bunny became the first artist to win the Grammy Award for Best Album of the Year for a record recorded entirely in Spanish, taking the award for "Debí Tirar Más Fotos."

He also became the first Latin artist to gross 1 billion dollars in ticket sales without singing in English, according to data published in June by Billboard magazine. Billboard is a major American music industry publication that tracks commercial charts, box office figures and touring revenue globally.

Banco Popular, which held exclusive ticket access for the sale, is the primary banking institution in Puerto Rico, serving as the island's largest commercial financial provider since its founding in 1893.
