Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams sparked amusement among fans on Monday night after donning a covert disguise on the sideline during his team's 27-7 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The former Heisman Trophy winner was ruled out of the Monday night matchup after suffering a Grade 2 hamstring strain against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2. Despite the injury, which is expected to sideline him for three to four weeks, Williams stood with his teammates to show his support.

During the television broadcast, cameras captured Williams wearing dark blue sunglasses and a hood pulled tightly over a backwards baseball cap, covering most of his face. Screenshots of the outfit quickly circulated on social media as fans joked about his game day attire.

"Dude is such a drama queen," one viewer commented on X.

Williams sustained the hamstring strain during the fourth quarter of Chicago's game against Minnesota, causing initial alarm when he was carted off the turf in visible distress.

Subsequent medical testing confirmed that the quarterback avoided long-term knee damage, though the Bears medical staff elected to exercise caution and hold him out of the game against Philadelphia.

With Williams in street clothes, Chicago head coach Ben Johnson handed the offense to 38-year-old veteran Case Keenum. A string of injuries in the quarterback room forced the Bears to rely on their third stringer for the Week 3 clash.

Veteran Keenum Leads Chicago Offense

The change in personnel proved no issue for Chicago. Keenum stepped up to the task and led the Bears to a comprehensive rout of the Eagles.

The veteran quarterback outplayed Philadelphia star Jalen Hurts, the 2025 Super Bowl MVP. Keenum, making his 67th career start, threw the 80th and 81st touchdown passes of his career in the victory.

He opened the scoring early, offloading the ball to wide receiver Luther Burden III who charged into the end zone for the first touchdown of the game.

In the third quarter, Keenum took advantage of busted coverage by the Eagles to hit Kalif Raymond for a 41-yard touchdown with 5:47 remaining in the period.

The veteran later scored his first rushing touchdown since 2019, punching the ball into the end zone on a one-yard run with 7:19 left. That final touchdown capped a 13-play, 58-yard drive that consumed more than eight minutes of the game clock.

Keenum finished his first NFL game in three years by completing 24 of his 34 pass attempts for a total of 247 yards and zero interceptions, marking a triumphant return to the field.

Williams will aim to ramp up his recovery this week, with Chicago slated to take on the New York Jets in Week 4.
