Cherif Cissé scored two goals to lead Eintracht Frankfurt U21 to a 2-1 comeback victory away at SG Barockstadt Fulda-Lehnerz in their Regionalliga Südwest Hessian derby match on Wednesday evening.
Host side SG Barockstadt Fulda-Lehnerz opened the scoring in the first half of the match in Fulda when Ali Hüseyin Gün gave his team the lead in the 35th minute. However, Cissé struck twice after falling behind to turn the regional derby around and earn all three points for the visiting Frankfurt team.
The victory represents the second win of the league campaign for head coach Patrick Glöckner's squad. The team has gradually built momentum after gaining promotion to the Regionalliga Südwest, recovering from a tough opening stretch of the season that included three defeats in their first five matches.
The three points moved Eintracht Frankfurt U21 out of the relegation zone and up to tenth place in the regional league table.
