Donatella Versace is launching a new fashion and beauty brand in partnership with Los Angeles-based online retailer Revolve Group. The venture marks the Italian designer's first business project since stepping down from the house of Versace about a year and a half ago.
According to a report by Reuters, Versace will serve as chief creative officer of the new enterprise and will take an active role in shaping the brand identity.

Speaking about the new chapter in her career, Versace said that younger generations have long served as a source of inspiration for her across music, cinema, art, and fashion. She noted that the partnership with Revolve Group gives her the freedom to connect with that audience in a new and personal way through fashion and beauty products.
Revolve Group infrastructure and operations
Mike Karanikolas, the chief executive officer of Revolve Group, said the new brand will combine Versace's creative prestige with the group's existing infrastructure and digital expertise.

Under the terms of the agreement, Revolve Group will oversee most of the backend operations for the new venture. The Los Angeles company will manage marketing strategies, operational workflows, and e-commerce platforms.
Versace departure and Prada acquisition
The announcement follows Versace's departure from her namesake fashion house in March 2025 after 27 years leading the brand. The original luxury label was founded by her late brother, Gianni Versace.

Her departure coincided with a period of internal tension and declining sales at the fashion house, which led to its sale later that year. Italian luxury group Prada acquired Versace in 2025 in a deal valued at approximately 1.3 billion euros.
Prada is currently preparing a market repositioning strategy for the Versace brand as Donatella Versace prepares to launch her independent business venture.
