Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Ellyes Skhiri is in negotiations with Olympiacos over a potential transfer before the summer window closes, according to africafoot.com. The 31-year-old Tunisia national team captain is also in talks with Sevilla and Fiorentina.
Africafoot.com reported that Olympiacos has entered the race to sign the defensive midfielder. The Piraeus-based club is looking to strengthen its midfield with European competition experience and views Skhiri as an ideal candidate to provide stability and leadership.
Career history and international record
Skhiri has earned 86 caps and scored four goals for Tunisia. He has a contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until the summer of 2027, having joined the German side as a free agent when his contract with Köln ended.
Skhiri began his career in the youth academy of Gallia Club Lunel in 1999 before moving to the Montpellier academy in 2010. He was promoted to Montpellier's first team in 2015 and played there until the summer of 2019. He then transferred to Köln in July 2019, where he became a key player during four seasons from 2019 to 2023.
