Manufacturer Fairphone is preparing to launch the Fairphone 6+ smartphone rather than a Fairphone 7 one year after releasing its predecessor, according to leaked renders from outlet NewMobile. The upcoming device retains a design similar to the original Fairphone 6, including a modular back panel that supports accessories and indicates compatible modules between models.
The Fairphone 6+ measures 157 x 73 x 9.6 mm and weighs 191 grams, matching the dimensions of last year's model. It features a 6.31-inch screen with a 1116p resolution, a refresh rate of 10 to 120 Hz, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
Hardware specs and pricing
Internal upgrades center on a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, compared to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip in the original model. RAM increases from 8 GB to 12 GB, while flash memory remains at 256 GB.
The 4415 mAh battery and camera setup are unchanged. The original model launched at 600 euros, while the new version will cost 650 euros, according to information from NewMobile and Dealabs. Fairphone devices are known for high repairability and long-term support.
