Vyacheslav Fetisov, a two-time Olympic champion and State Duma deputy, said he sees no reason to celebrate after Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva was granted neutral status to compete in international tournaments, according to TASS.
Fetisov said he would want Kamila's gold Olympic medal returned to her first, and only then would he celebrate her neutral status.

ISU decision
The International Skating Union granted Valieva neutral status on August 7. She will be able to compete in tournaments held under the organization from the 2026/27 season.
Doping ban
Valieva has spent the past four years serving a doping disqualification. She lost her gold medals from the European Championship, the Russian Championship, and the team event at the 2022 Olympic Games, where the entire Russian team was stripped of its title.
