Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus has completed a transfer to Barcelona from Arsenal, signing a three-year contract that keeps him at the Spanish club until 2029.
The transfer was officially completed after the 29-year-old attacker traveled to Catalonia, successfully passed his mandatory medical examinations, and signed his formal paperwork. Barcelona confirmed the move two days after reaching an agreement with Arsenal on Saturday, August 30.
Jesus leaves Arsenal after making 123 appearances in all competitions for the North London side. During his spell with the Premier League club, he recorded 32 goals and 22 assists, concluding his period in England by celebrating a championship title victory last season.
Career history and previous clubs
Before moving to London to join Arsenal, Jesus spent several seasons playing in English football for Manchester City. The Brazilian international forward had originally launched his senior professional career in Brazil with Palmeiras before making the transition to Europe.
