Google is preparing a limited-edition Pixel Watch 5 designed in partnership with American basketball player Stephen Curry, according to details that surfaced online ahead of the Google Pixel 11 launch. The Stephen Curry Edition was reported by My Mobiles.
Insiders say the special edition will not include any changes to the watch's technical specifications. Instead, it will stand out from the standard model with an exclusive fabric strap in a grey-beige design featuring orange accents and branding for both Stephen Curry and LockIn. The strap will also carry a water-repellent coating.
Price and availability
A leak indicates the Stephen Curry Edition will be sold only in a 45-millimeter case. It is expected to cost around $669, or 579 euros, about $35 (30 euros) more than the standard Pixel Watch 5. The edition is expected to be sold in limited quantities and will not be available in all markets.
Google will unveil the Pixel Watch 5 along with the Pixel 11 series on August 12 at its Made by Google event.
