French driver Isack Hadjar has extended his Formula 1 contract with Red Bull Racing to remain with the team through the end of the 2027 season.
The 21-year-old will continue driving alongside four-time world champion Max Verstappen. Official confirmation of the deal was reported by Sports.ru on September 23, 2026. Hadjar currently holds eighth place in the drivers championship standings having accumulated 71 points across the campaign so far.
In comments reported by Match TV, Hadjar said he was extremely pleased to secure the opportunity to continue working with Red Bull. He noted that upon joining the organization eight months ago, he immediately understood its immense scale and ambition, describing it as an honor to race for the team next to Verstappen.
Hadjar is set to return to competitive driving at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku, scheduled for September 24 to September 26. The French pilot was sidelined for the past three races due to a wrist injury sustained during a boxing workout while on summer break.
Promotion from Racing Bulls
Hadjar moved to the main Red Bull team at the start of 2026 after driving for Racing Bulls. Across his career in Formula 1, he has achieved two podium finishes.
