Jefferson Farfán, the former Alianza Lima and Peru forward, praised Sport Boys winger Oslimg Mora after Sport Boys drew with Alianza Lima in matchday four of the Torneo Clausura at Lima's Estadio Nacional.
According to the report, Sport Boys' turnaround began with the arrival of coach Carlos Dessio, who reversed an uneven start to the season. The club, known as the Rosados, has become one of the Torneo Clausura's strongest sides and is competing for a place in international competitions. The draw against Alianza Lima reflected that form.
Farfán's Instagram praise
Farfán posted a message on his Instagram story singling out Mora, 27, who came through Alianza Lima's youth academy and won two national titles with the club before moving to Sport Boys. Farfán called him the player of the match, praised how dynamic he was that day, said he understood the game perfectly, and added that he hoped Mora could return home soon, addressing him as his nephew.
Mora's reaction after the draw
Speaking to L1 Max after the final whistle, Mora said he and his teammates gave everything and felt the team was capable of great things. He said Sport Boys went out to play toe to toe with Alianza Lima, a difficult team that always chases the title, with the mentality that they could win, and that they would keep on that path.
He added that it felt good personally to play for and represent a big club like Sport Boys, and that although the team did not achieve its goal of winning, they took a point from the match.
