Joheirry Mola, Miss World Dominican Republic, departed on Wednesday for Vietnam to represent her country in the historic 75th edition of the international Miss World pageant.
Family members, enthusiastic followers, media outlets, and representatives from the Miss Mundo Dominicana organization gathered at Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo to give Mola an official send off ahead of her journey.
The farewell event featured support from the folklore ballet of the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism, with well wishers offering affection and encouragement as Mola embarked on her mission to serve as an ambassador for Dominican beauty, culture, and values.
Mola is traveling to Southeast Asia to join more than 100 contestants representing countries from every continent in the milestone 75th celebration of the competition.
