Actors José Raposo and Carla Andrino have joined the cast of Avenida Portugal to play the parents of protagonist Tufão, according to Correio da Manhã.
Raposo and Andrino will portray Leleco and Micaela in the upcoming television series. Their character son, Tufão, is played by actor Ricardo Pereira.

In the original Brazilian telenovela Avenida Brasil, the parent characters were named Leleco and Muricy. They were portrayed by Brazilian actors Marcos Caruso and Eliane Giardini.

Caruso and Giardini are set to return to their roles in Avenida Brasil 2, a sequel production scheduled to premiere in early 2027.
Avenida Portugal is an upcoming Portuguese television remake of Avenida Brasil, the hit 2012 Brazilian soap opera produced by TV Globo. The project brings the popular South American narrative to Portuguese audiences with an all-star local cast.

Several other prominent actors have already been confirmed for the production. Margarida Vila-Nova will play Carminha, Laura Dutra stars as Nina, José Condessa portrays Jorginho, and Afonso Pimentel plays Max.
Luísa Cruz has been cast as Lucinda, while Virgílio Castelo will play Nilo. Ana Sofia Martins joins the cast as Zezé.
Jorge Corrula will portray the heartthrob character Cadinho. His three wives in the series will be played by Cláudia Vieira as Madalena, Jessica Athayde as Noémia, and Isabela Valadeiro as Xana.
Production Schedule and Broadcast
Filming for Avenida Portugal is scheduled to begin next month. The series premiere is planned for the first half of 2027.
The new drama will occupy the broadcast time slot currently held by Páginas da Vida, another Portuguese remake of a Globo telenovela.
