Russian television presenter and blogger Ksenia Borodina has complained of severe sleep problems after returning to Moscow from a trip to the United States.
Borodina shared her struggles on her Telegram channel, explaining that time zone differences have left her unable to fall asleep until five or six o'clock in the morning.
She wrote that she has been unable to readjust to Moscow time for four days, leaving her waking up at seven or eight in the morning in a state she described as near psychosis. Borodina noted that she initially lies in bed for hours without using electronic devices, but eventually gives up, picks up her phone to play games, and watches interviews or television series.
The television presenter added that her frustration is heightened because her husband and children adapted to the schedule change immediately and are sleeping normally, leaving her as the only member of her household struggling in this state.

Jet lag and time zone differences
Jet lag occurs when rapid travel across multiple time zones disrupts the internal circadian rhythm, causing fatigue, insomnia, and difficulty concentrating. Moscow operates seven hours ahead of Eastern Daylight Time in the United States, a substantial time shift that often requires several days for the human body to adjust. Borodina published her comments on Telegram, a popular cloud-based instant messaging platform used extensively in Russia by public figures to share updates with followers.
Flight headaches and New York reception
The insomnia is not the only health issue Borodina reported during her travel to North America. Earlier in her trip, the presenter stated that she suffered from severe headaches during her transatlantic flight to the United States, describing the pain as hellish.
During her stay in New York City, Borodina also commented on the public response she encountered abroad. She expressed surprise after noticing that fans approached her on the streets of New York more often than they usually do in Moscow.
