Levadiakos qualified for the League Phase of the Greek Cup with a 2-0 victory over ten-man Asteras Tripolis thanks to two goals from Urzi.
Urzi scored in both halves for Levadiakos after Asteras Tripolis defender Silva was sent off in the 34th minute for a professional foul.
Levadiakos dominated from the start of the match and created an early scoring chance when Emmanouilidis went one-on-one with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute. Asteras Tripolis goalkeeper Papadopoulos made several significant saves during the opening spell to keep the visiting side level.
The contest shifted in the 34th minute when Silva committed a foul on Levadiakos player Papadopoulos as he was about to enter the penalty area. The referee issued a direct red card to Silva, reducing Asteras Tripolis to ten players.
Urzi strikes in both halves
Levadiakos took advantage of the extra man shortly before the end of the first half. In the 43rd minute, Urzi scored from close range after Asteras Tripolis player Eder failed to clear the ball cleanly, giving the host team a 1-0 lead.
Urzi sealed the victory in the 63rd minute when he found the net for the second time, securing Levadiakos' place in the next round of the competition.
Team lineups and substitutions
Levadiakos manager Charalambous started Anaker in goal behind Pantea, Vichos, Liagas and Tsivelekidis. Nikas was replaced at half-time by Lamarana, while Symelidis made way for Bauza in the 87th minute. Goalscorer Urzi and Emmanouilidis were substituted in the 71st minute for Vrakas and Kobnan, after Levadiakos player Papadopoulos was replaced by Tsaras in the 83rd minute. Goumas also featured in the starting eleven.
Asteras Tripolis manager Antonopoulos selected goalkeeper Papadopoulos alongside Kotsiras, Laskaris, Silva and Mendez. In midfield and attack, Eder, Bartolo, Papakanellos and Ricardinho started, while Kourbelis was subbed off for Perez in the 75th minute. Orozco was replaced by Bronson at half-time following Silva's red card.
The Greek Cup, known locally as Kypello Elladas, is Greece's primary domestic knockout competition. Levadiakos and Asteras Tripolis both compete in Greek domestic football, with the victory advancing Levadiakos into the group stage format of the League Phase.
