The LG OLED C5 65-inch television is available in Spain for 1,649 euros at PcComponentes and 1,789 euros at MediaMarkt, about half the nearly 3,000 euros it cost when it launched a year ago.
The set is built around an OLED evo panel that controls light at the pixel level, delivering pure blacks and infinite contrast. The author, who has owned an LG OLED television for seven years and reports no burn-in problems from two to three hours of daily viewing, says the picture quality is clearly superior to QLED and QNED alternatives.
The panel achieves peak brightness of more than 1,000 nits and supports HDR content in lit rooms without loss of detail. An Alpha processor with artificial intelligence manages brightness and colour precision.
For gaming, the television offers four full HDMI 2.1 ports, a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz with 120 Hz native refresh, and ultra-low input latency. The review says the screen works smoothly with consoles such as the PS5 and with high-performance PCs.
The 65-inch size is described as well-suited to living rooms of 20 to 30 square metres at a viewing distance of around three metres. The cabinet is approximately five millimetres thick, weighs 16 kilograms, and can be placed on a central stand or mounted on a VESA bracket, including on plasterboard walls.
Software runs on LG’s webOS platform, described as smooth and easy to navigate, with a five-year update guarantee and immediate access to streaming services from the remote control.
Built-in audio uses a 2.2-channel system with two speakers and two woofers compatible with current surround sound formats. A bundle pairing the television with an LG soundbar is listed at 1,999 euros.
