Mexican television producer Luis de Llano was arrested in Mexico City on Wednesday after failing to comply with court ordered reparations in singer Sasha Sokol's civil lawsuit.
Officers from the capital's Secretariat of Citizen Security executed two arrest warrants against De Llano at 18:13 local time (00:13 GMT). The warrants were issued by a civil judge from the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City, with each specifying a 15-hour period of detention to be served consecutively for a total of 30 hours in custody.
According to a statement released by Sokol's legal team, the enforcement action followed two distinct judicial infractions. Court records indicate that De Llano failed to record and present a court-mandated public apology. He also neglected to publish an official synthesis of the judgment confirming his civil liability for moral damage.
The legal team representing Sokol stated that the arrest orders were issued following months of persistent non-compliance, monetary fines, and unfulfilled judicial requirements. The court previously established De Llano's civil liability after ruling that Sokol was a victim of sexual abuse committed by the producer when she was a minor.

Sokol is a prominent Mexican singer, actress, and pop performer who achieved national fame during the 1980s as an original member of the iconic Latin pop group Timbiriche. De Llano is a veteran entertainment executive and producer who spent decades developing youth telenovelas, musical acts, and high-profile television broadcasts in Mexico.
Under Mexican civil law, claims for moral damage address non-material harm inflicted upon a person's emotional well-being, honor, or psychological integrity. The legal conflict between the two entertainment figures began in March 2022, when De Llano spoke publicly during an interview about the romantic relationship he maintained with Sokol when she was an adolescent.
Following his interview, Sokol issued a public statement clarifying that she was 14 years old and De Llano was 40 when the relationship began. She subsequently filed a civil lawsuit against the producer in Mexico City seeking legal accountability and compensation for moral damages.
A civil court judge ruled in Sokol's favor in May 2023. In September 2023, the Seventh Civil Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City confirmed and expanded the judgment.
