Polish goalkeeper Marcin Bułka will move to one of Europe's top five leagues during the winter transfer window, according to football analyst Łukasz Gikiewicz speaking on Polish television network TVP Sport. Gikiewicz claimed the 26-year-old shot-stopper has collected his earnings in Saudi Arabia with NEOM SC and is now ready to return to high-level European football.
Bułka currently plays for Saudi Arabian side NEOM SC, having joined the club in July 2025. He recently earned his eighth cap for the Poland national team during the September international break, stepping in for injured primary goalkeeper Kamil Grabara. Grabara had been Poland's starting goalkeeper during the World Cup play-offs in March.
During the international window, Bułka featured in two matches for Poland, keeping a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina before playing in a 1-3 defeat to Sweden. At club level, the goalkeeper has made seven league appearances for NEOM SC this season, conceding six goals and keeping three clean sheets. He plays at NEOM alongside former Arsenal captain Alexandre Lacazette, who earned 16 caps for France.
Career in European football
Before moving to Saudi Arabia, Bułka played in France's Ligue 1 for Paris Saint-Germain and OGC Nice. He also spent time in England with Premier League club Chelsea, playing in their youth setup alongside defenders Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah, though he did not make a senior first-team appearance at Stamford Bridge.
A transfer back to one of the major European leagues in England, Spain, Germany, Italy or France would provide a clearer measure of his club form. Moving closer to Europe would also shorten his travel to future Poland national team training camps.
Upcoming national team fixtures
Poland will complete their autumn international schedule with two upcoming matches. The national team play at home against Romania on Friday, October 2, before facing an away fixture against Bosnia and Herzegovina three days later on October 5.
