The Marketing Unplugged event will hold its second edition on August 22 at Pyhex in Santo Domingo to promote purpose-driven marketing and human strategy.
The event, titled Marketing Unplugged: Human First, runs from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will gather business leaders, creatives, strategists, and decision makers from the marketing and communication sector.
Organisers say the gathering arrives as automation and artificial intelligence redefine market rules, creating a key platform to examine how human connection builds sustainable and differentiated brands.
Pyhex is an innovation and business hub located in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, which regularly hosts corporate conferences, tech summits, and industry networking events.
Immersive format and human connection
The new edition adopts an experiential format that combines high-value content with staging inspired by major entertainment productions such as the Video Music Awards.
Organisers stated that the approach aims to transform how industry learning is consumed, making it more dynamic, memorable, and aligned with modern audience expectations.

Clayra Morales, creator of the event and founder of TBA Digital Marketing, said that brands now need to connect through authenticity more than ever before. She noted that in a market filled with technological tools, the human element becomes the main differentiator.
Morales added that Marketing Unplugged is designed to spark ideas, challenge traditional models, and generate valuable connections. She explained that the event encourages reverse engineering by using critical thinking before applying artificial intelligence.
She further stated that the goal is to prompt attendees to remove the plastic from their brains at a time when people find themselves asking permission from artificial intelligence to think.
Conferences and strategic sessions
The agenda opens with an international presentation by Enma from the United States, titled Branding will NOT save you, which takes a critical look at overvaluing visual identity over strategy.
Den Borg from Argentina will follow with a conference titled The pillars of an authentic personal brand, delivering practical tools to build credibility and positioning across digital environments.
Douglas Castillo and Clayra Morales will also deliver a joint presentation titled Help! We are partners, parents and a couple, exploring the intersection of business and personal partnerships.

Industry panels and creator economy
The event features several strategic panel discussions, starting with a panel on Personal Brand moderated by Nikky. The session focuses on building authority without depending on virality, featuring insights from Leslie Polanco, Alondra Angeles, Jenniffer Arias, Modesto, and Yan Suriel.
A second panel, titled Advertising, Marketing and Creator Economy, will analyze evolving business models in the creative industry and the importance of standing out as tools become more accessible. Moderated by Clayra Morales, it features Omar Andres "dreomar", Hector Manzueta, Jean Vargas, Isidro Frometa, and Eury Siriaco.
Client and agency dynamics will be addressed in the Career Path / Clients panel, which examines decision-making factors and service contracting. The panel will be led by Edith Smester alongside Ciara Matos, chief executive of Incociv, and Jennifer Terrero, advertising director at Grupo Ramos.
Live podcast and networking lounge
Highlighting diversity and leadership, the conference will host a live recording of the podcast Women in Business. Hosted by Estafani Bonetti, the session brings together Dr. Nicole Cabrol, Giselle Lugo, Ana Nicole, and Rachell Holguin to share real experiences on business growth, leadership, and decision-making.
Beyond academic content, the day includes entertainment and networking opportunities. Comedian Lauren Molina will deliver a disruptive opening performance, while dedicated spaces will host brand activations to foster direct interaction between companies and attendees.
The conference will conclude with a VIP Lounge and afterwork event featuring a soundtrack of 1990s and 2000s rock hits, designed to strengthen professional relationships and generate new business opportunities.
Marketing Unplugged is produced by TBA Digital Marketing alongside Proyes, with support from Incociv and additional sponsor brands. Tickets for the August 22 event are available online at clayramorales.com/marketingunplugged.
