Michael Strahan and his girlfriend Kayla Quick have welcomed a baby girl, marking the fifth child for the former New York Giants star and television anchor.
The 54-year-old Good Morning America presenter and Quick, 36, quietly added the new arrival to their family earlier this year, according to a report by TMZ.
The baby is the couple's first child together. They have been dating since 2015, keeping their relationship largely private over the past decade.
Private relationship
Quick, the co-founder and chief executive of the beauty and wellness brand Fizzness, has made few public appearances alongside Strahan. She attended his Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony in January 2023, but generally maintains a low profile.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in mass communication and media studies from the University of Tampa, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Despite their privacy, TMZ noted there had been recent speculation that the couple had separated, though the arrival of their daughter suggests otherwise.
Growing family
Strahan, a Hall of Fame defensive end who spent his entire 15-year career with the Giants, is already a father to four adult children from two previous marriages.
His eldest child, Los Angeles-based illustrator Tanita, and his son Michael Jr. are from his marriage to Wanda Hutchins, which lasted from 1992 to 1996.
He also shares 19-year-old twin daughters, Sophia and Isabella, with his second wife, Jean Muggli. The couple divorced in 2006 after seven years of marriage.
Strahan became a grandfather two years ago when Tanita gave birth to a son, Onyx, in 2024.
The broadcaster has had other high-profile romances over the years, including a five-year engagement to Nicole Murphy that ended in August 2014.
Isabella's cancer recovery
While she is not on social media herself, Quick has occasionally featured in Strahan's family initiatives. She recently teamed up with his daughter Isabella for a campaign promoting 100 Coconuts, a coconut water business in which Strahan is an investor.
The family has recently celebrated Isabella's recovery from medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor that develops in the cerebellum.
She was a college freshman in 2023 when she began struggling to walk in a straight line and experiencing vomiting and excruciating headaches. Doctors subsequently discovered a tumor larger than a golf ball at the back of her brain.
Isabella documented her cancer battle on her YouTube channel, detailing surgery alongside grueling chemotherapy and radiation treatments before being declared cancer-free the following year.
She spoke candidly about the severe side effects, saying she felt as though she was having a heart attack and that everything hurt.
"My eyes are strained, they hurt to look to the sides," she said at the time. "My whole mouth feels like I got one giant root canal."
She added: "Every single tooth just ripped out and not even surgically put back in. My jaw hurts, the bottom of my tongue hurts. It hurts when I gulp water."
In July 2024, she revealed she had undergone an additional major surgery after ringing a hospital bell to mark the end of her chemotherapy. Following her final MRI, she announced on her channel that she was cancer-free.
She told her viewers that everything was great, adding that she was excited to return to her normal life and prepare to head back to college.
