Peruvian singer Naldy Saldaña, a former member of the group La Bella Luz, revealed in a TikTok video that she shares a close personal bond with Yrma Guerrero, the leader and founder of the cumbia group Corazón Serrano. Saldaña, 26, is currently pursuing a legal case after accusing musical director César Sánchez Chavesta of alleged improper touching.
Saldaña made the disclosure while answering questions from her followers, confirming for the first time that Guerrero is her madrina de quince años, a godmother figure who formally sponsors a young woman's fifteenth birthday celebration, a milestone widely marked across Peru and Latin America.
Why Saldaña Kept the Bond Private
Saldaña said many of her followers did not know about the connection. She explained that Guerrero is her quinceañera godmother and that she had never really tried to mention it, since she found it meaningful to simply have Guerrero in that role rather than bringing it up all the time.

The singer also said Guerrero continues to support her to this day, adding that Guerrero has stayed attentive to her at every step and that she was very grateful for that affection. Saldaña did not directly address her case against Sánchez Chavesta in the video, but she made clear that Guerrero's backing has been constant.
Corazón Serrano and Saldaña's Brief Time With the Group
Corazón Serrano is one of Peru's most prominent cumbia groups, led by Yrma Guerrero. Saldaña was briefly part of the band at age 14 before later joining La Bella Luz, the group she was performing with when she filed her complaint against Sánchez Chavesta.
Fans React Online
Saldaña's confession set off a wave of comments on social media. Some followers questioned why, given how close the two are, Guerrero had not brought Saldaña back into Corazón Serrano, with one writing that if Guerrero really is her godmother she should support her and pull her into the group, and another telling Saldaña directly that she needed to return to Corazón Serrano.
Other users praised Guerrero's attitude and her willingness to stand by her goddaughter. Comments described Guerrero as a wonderful and humble person, while others remarked that a godmother is like a second mother who will always be there to support you.
