Venezuelan wrestler Nathaly Griman won the gold medal in women's 68 kilogram freestyle wrestling at the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026. She defeated Mexican wrestler Ámbar Garnica to take the top spot for Venezuela.
Griman earned the victory by pinfall in a match that she was already winning on points.
Earlier in the day, Venezuelan athlete Astrid Montero won the gold medal in the women's 62 kilogram category of the discipline.
Bronze medal matches
In the first bronze medal bout, Puerto Rican wrestler Ruth Jiménez defeated Dominican competitor Jira Hernández on points by a 4-1 score. Nicoll Parrado secured the second bronze medal by forfeit.
