Netflix has selected Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall to star in its upcoming television series adaptation of Dan Brown's novel The Secret of Secrets. The streaming platform acquired the rights to the book before its publication and has now finalized the cast for the project.
Dan Brown, who wrote popular novels such as The Da Vinci Code, Inferno, and Angels & Demons, published The Secret of Secrets last year. The book, which became the best-selling novel of 2025, follows a new adventure of symbologist Robert Langdon, the recurring protagonist of Brown's work.
Morgan Spector, known for Homeland, will portray Robert Langdon, a role previously played by Tom Hanks in feature film adaptations. Rebecca Hall, who appeared in The Prestige, stars alongside Spector as the female lead. The cast also features Cherry Jones, Corey Stoll, Rob Delaney, and Abbey Lee.

Carlton Cuse is leading the series adaptation as showrunner, while Dan Brown is also contributing to the project. Cuse previously served as an executive producer on Lost with J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof, and later created series including Bates Motel, Colony, and Jack Ryan.
Plot of The Secret of Secrets
According to the promotional synopsis, the story asks if the future can affect the past. Symbology professor Robert Langdon travels to Prague to attend a conference held by noetic scientist Katherine Solomon, with whom he has started a new relationship.
Dr. Solomon is preparing to publish a book detailing discoveries about human consciousness that could overturn centuries of belief. A brutal murder plunges their lives into chaos, causing Katherine and her manuscript to suddenly disappear.
Langdon pursues a ruthless killer linked to ancient Prague myths while finding himself targeted by a dark organization. As the search expands to London and New York, Langdon races against time to unlock secret truths about human consciousness.
