Olympiacos and head coach Georgios Bartzokas are looking at Red Star forwards Semi Ojeleye and Chima Moneke to complete the Greek basketball club's roster ahead of the new season.

Most of the club's summer roster planning is complete, but open positions remain in the forward positions. Management and Bartzokas are scanning options from the Serbian team to find the right fit for the Piraeus club.
Semi Ojeleye options
Experienced forward Semi Ojeleye has been proposed to Olympiacos. Ojeleye can play at both small forward and power forward positions, offering athleticism, physical toughness, and reliable perimeter shooting that match Bartzokas's tactical requirements.
However, securing Ojeleye presents contract hurdles. He is under contract with Red Star until the summer of 2027 without a buyout clause, requiring direct team negotiations. Olympiacos has him on its list, though he is not currently the primary transfer choice.

Chima Moneke transfer hurdles
Nigerian forward Chima Moneke remains high on Bartzokas's list of target options. Moneke brings intensity, defensive toughness, athleticism, and high energy on both ends of the basketball court.
A potential transfer faces financial and tactical challenges. Moneke is also under contract with Red Star. Furthermore, with Sasha Vezenkov established as the central option at power forward, a player of Moneke's standing might hesitate to accept a limited role of about 15 minutes per game.
Giannoulis Larentzakis contract situation
Roster decisions are tied to the status of international guard Giannoulis Larentzakis. AEK is close to an agreement with Larentzakis, but the move requires Olympiacos to approve his release since he remains under contract.
Both clubs are working to find a mutually satisfying release formula. Reaching a compromise would provide Olympiacos with added flexibility as it shapes its final team lineup for the upcoming season.
