More than 145,000 retirees under the Oficina de Normalización Previsional are receiving an additional 25% in their monthly pensions during August 2026. The increase applies to National Pension System retirees who turn 80 years old under the Advanced Age Bonus program.

In total, 145,318 pensioners enrolled in Decree Law No. 19990 are receiving the extra payout nationwide this month. Among the total beneficiaries, 133,370 belong to the regular regimen with 20 or more years of contributions, while 11,948 receive proportional pensions for accrediting between 10 and under 20 years of contributions.
Payment calculations and automatic enrollment
The Advanced Age Bonus adds 25% calculated on the base pension amount a retiree was receiving upon reaching 80 years of age. For instance, a pensioner who received 800 soles when turning 80 receives a 200 soles bonus, bringing their total combined monthly payout to 1,000 soles.
The bonus is added directly to regular pension deposits without requiring an application or fee. The Oficina de Normalización Previsional automatically processes and issues the payment alongside monthly pensions once a retiree reaches 80 and meets the established conditions.
Excluded categories and contact channels
The 25% bonus does not extend to individuals receiving widowhood, orphanhood, or ascendancy pensions. Pensioners with questions regarding the benefit can contact the Oficina de Normalización Previsional helpline at (01) 634-2222, selecting option 1, from Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., or access services online at onpvirtual.pe.
