Otto Rehhagel, the coach who changed the history of the Greece national football team by leading it to the EURO 2004 title in Portugal, turned 88 on August 9, 2026.
The German took charge of Greece in 2001 and left in 2010, after the team's appearance at the World Cup in South Africa, where Greece recorded its first ever win at a World Cup.
