Panathinaikos have discovered who they would face in the play-off round of the UEFA Conference League if they get past CSKA 1948 in the third qualifying round.
Should the Greek side advance, they will meet whichever team loses the tie between Hradec Kralove of the Czech Republic and Besiktas of Turkey. The first leg of that CSKA 1948 tie is scheduled for August 20 at the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens, known as OAKA, with the return leg away from home a week later on August 27.
Panathinaikos are one of Greece's most decorated clubs and are chasing a place in the League Phase of the Conference League, UEFA's third-tier continental club competition, which sits below the Champions League and the Europa League. Reaching the play-off round is the last step before that group stage begins.
