Reality television star Paul Michael has been seen spending the night with an unidentified young woman at his home in the Peruvian port city of Callao, despite his ongoing onscreen courtship of actress Rayza Ortiz on the youth competition programme 'Esto es guerra'.
Video footage broadcast by entertainment journalist Magaly Medina on Monday, August 17, showed the salsa singer and former partner of Pamela López enjoying a night out in Miraflores, an affluent district in the capital city of Lima known for its nightlife and commercial areas, before travelling back to his property.
Overnight stay
According to the images presented on the gossip broadcast 'Magaly TV, la firme', the pair travelled together to the home of the former 'La granja VIP Perú' contestant in Callao. The young woman was recorded entering his residence at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15.
The footage subsequently showed that the young companion did not leave the property until 9:00 a.m. that morning.
'Magaly TV, la firme' is a popular Peruvian television broadcast that frequently airs celebrity exposes, which are commonly referred to locally as ampays. Medina introduced the weekend footage by discussing the nature of television competitions and the strategies that producers often use to engage their audiences.
The television host said that the reality contestant had been giving small gifts and playing a game of getting to know each other with one of his castmates. She noted that reality programmes routinely attempt to unite stories to see if something materialises, adding that the tactic works well for them and is what the genre is all about.
Medina said that while the singer spends his working week from Monday to Friday playing at romance with the actress he was placed next to, he wakes up at dawn with a different girl.
Television courtship
The weekend footage follows several weeks of Michael publicly showing his interest in Ortiz during episodes of 'Esto es guerra', a long running physical and mental competition series broadcast on the América Televisión network.
During recent broadcasts, the salsa singer openly proclaimed his feelings for the actress. He told viewers that he did not mind waiting as much time as necessary to conquer her heart.
The television personality further pursued the romance by presenting Ortiz with a gift to celebrate her birthday.
The actress subsequently responded to the gesture, stating that it was super lovely of him to give her that detail and that she truly loved the present.
Ortiz completely ruled out the suggestion that she felt cornered by the singer's courtship. She stated that it was not the case at all, adding that it was the opposite and she was genuinely happy and grateful for everything he told her.

The onscreen romance has also been referenced by other competitors. Cast member Sirena Ortiz was recently involved in an argument with Gabriel Meneses on 'Esto es guerra', during which she told him that Michael did something and Meneses did not.
In an unrelated development concerning the singer's former partner, an individual known as 'Tía Lisura' recently criticised López for claiming she had spoken badly about her. She stated that López was a coward and ungrateful.
