Dominican singer-songwriters Pavel Núñez and Pamel Mancebo took the stage together at Hard Rock Café Santo Domingo for a joint concert titled Las 2P.
The performance began at 10:00 p.m. as both artists chose to open the show side by side rather than taking separate turns offstage. They launched the two-hour event with a joint rendition of Si ella me faltara alguna vez, a song originally composed by Pablo Milanés.
Presented by Cultura Pop, the concert drew a full crowd to the venue. Núñez and Mancebo shared their own individual hit songs while also accompanying each other throughout the evening, shifting between quiet acoustic moments and high-energy numbers.
Hard Rock Café Santo Domingo is a premier live music venue located in the capital of the Dominican Republic, frequently hosting major national and international music acts. Both Núñez and Mancebo are established figures in Dominican pop-trova and romantic balladry, representing two distinct generations of the nation's singer-songwriter movement. Pablo Milanés, whose song opened the concert, was a celebrated Cuban singer-songwriter known as a pioneer of the Nueva Trova movement across Latin America.
Pavel Núñez solo set and acoustic arrangements
During the concert, Núñez varied his musical presentation by switching between full-band arrangements and stripped-down performances featuring guitar and piano. His set featured a wide selection of his songs, including Tú en mi vida, Y así, El pendejo, Santiago de frente, and Soñar de frente.
Núñez also performed Ando buscando un amor, Viene gente, and Paso a paso for the Santo Domingo audience. Later in the show, both musicians reunited on stage to perform Tiene que ver contigo.
Núñez formally brought the two-hour concert to a close by performing a medley combining two of his signature songs, Qué será de ti and Te di.
Pamel Mancebo tribute to father Palmer Hernández
Mancebo featured a selection of his own popular songs during his time on stage, including La persona equivocada, Sencillamente, Por mi parte, and Será. He also performed A los que me han preguntado, Menor que usted, and Loca.
One of the key shifts in rhythm during the concert came when Mancebo stepped to the front of the band to perform Devórame. The song was written by his father, Palmer Hernández, and Mancebo used the performance to render a special tribute to him.
Palmer Hernández is an acclaimed Latin music composer known for writing hit songs, including classic salsa anthems recorded by international Latin artists. By incorporating his father's work into the set, Mancebo connected his contemporary ballad repertoire with celebrated Latin songwriting history.
Production and concert concept for Las 2P
Organizers noted that rather than serving as a simple succession of hit records, Las 2P was structured to showcase a dialogue between two distinct ways of storytelling and expressing life and love through song. The performance united two generations of Dominican music on a single stage.
The live production was managed by two Dominican entertainment companies. Concepto Atariva SDQ led the production under the direction of Fiora Cruz Carretero, working alongside Vibra Productions under the leadership of Billy Hasbún.
