The new Peruvian movie Separada, pero nunca sola will premiere in theaters nationwide on Sept. 3, 2026, following the release of its official poster.
The poster presentation starts the countdown for the national premiere of the comedy film, which combines humor, adventures, and female friendship. Directed by Ani Alva Helfer, the movie will arrive in cinemas across the country in less than a month.
The production features the landscapes of the Peruvian Amazon and uses the natural setting of Tarapoto as an important part of its visual proposal. The closeness of the local community also played a prominent role during the filming process.
Filming and cast members
Shooting took place over several weeks across different landscapes in the San Martin region. The cast is led by Emilia Drago, Joaquin de Orbegoso, Armando Machuca, Nicolas Galindo, and Ximena Palomino.
The production also included actors and residents from Tarapoto selected through a mass casting call. According to the production team, this local participation added naturalness and authenticity to the scenes.
Alva Helfer brought together recognized figures and local talents for the feature film. The comedy aims to highlight both its humorous storyline and the natural beauty of the Peruvian Amazon.
Movie storyline and characters
The film centers on Isabel, a woman attempting to rebuild her life following a separation. She finds refuge in her work at a unique hotel located in the middle of the jungle.
Her routine takes an unexpected turn when a charming doctor appears and sparks her interest, just as her ex-partner decides to return and search for her. Faced with her ex-husband's insistence and wanting to leave that stage behind, Isabel launches an unconventional strategy by convincing him that she has already started a new romance.
The lie soon takes on unexpected dimensions, entangling her in secrets, funny moments, and complex situations that test her plans. Amid the emotional tangle, Isabel must confront what she left pending and discover that a separation is not necessarily the end of a story, giving her the opportunity to regain control of her life.
