Philips i9000 Shaver Drops to Record Low 179.99 Euros

The Philips i9000 electric shaver has dropped to an all-time low price of 179.99 euros on Amazon in a discount available exclusively to Amazon Prime members. The price cut reduces the grooming device to nearly half its official retail price of 349.99 euros listed on the official Philips website.

Electric shavers often present difficulties around uneven areas such as the jawline, neck, and under the nose, where facial hair changes direction. Philips designed the i9000 model to tackle these repetitive routines by minimizing hair pulling on multi-day beards and avoiding the need for multiple passes over sensitive skin.

Facial contouring and cutting technology

To handle curved facial features, the device features three compact, flexible heads that rotate 360 degrees to maintain uniform skin contact. The heads work alongside a triple-action Lift and Cut system, which raises each hair before cutting to achieve a closeness of up to 0.00 mm at skin level.

Inside the flexible heads, double SteelPrecision blades spin to capture facial hair growing in varied directions. According to Philips, the mechanism executes up to seven million cutting actions per minute and is built to cut through one-day stubble as effectively as a full week of beard growth.

To reduce skin drag, the shaver features a Hydro SkinGlide coating containing 500,000 micro-spheres per square centimetre. The coating is engineered to lower surface friction, allowing the shaver to glide smoothly across the face during use.

Smart sensors and Bluetooth connectivity

The shaver integrates Philips SkinIQ technology alongside a Power Adapt sensor that continuously reads beard density. When the sensor encounters resistance from thicker hair, the device automatically adjusts its motor power to maintain consistent cutting performance.

An onboard motion sensor tracks shaving technique, analyzing individual strokes to assist users in adopting more efficient movement patterns. The shaver also features Bluetooth wireless connectivity, enabling it to pair with Apple iPhone and Google Android devices to display personal shaving metrics and real-time guidance via a smartphone application.

Built for versatility, the wet and dry design allows for dry shaving when short on time, wet shaving with gel or foam, or full operation inside the shower. A pop-up trimmer is built directly into the handle to shape sideburns and outline facial hair without requiring separate tools.

Cleaning system and battery specifications

For routine maintenance, the package includes a dedicated cleaning station designed to sanitize and lubricate the shaver in one minute. Alternatively, users can press a single button to open the shaver head and rinse the interior directly under running tap water.

The internal battery provides up to 50 minutes of continuous runtime on a full charge. For urgent situations, a quick-charge function supplies enough battery power for a single complete shave after five minutes of charging.

At its standard retail price of 349.99 euros, the shaver represents a substantial financial investment, placing it in a similar tier to premium models such as the Braun NEVO. However, the temporary price drop to 179.99 euros brings advanced contouring, automatic power adaptation, and friction reduction to a considerably lower price point for Amazon Prime subscribers.
