Greek singer-songwriter Phoivos Delivorias paid tribute to actor Nikos Kalogeropoulos, who died on Sunday, August 9, at the age of 74.
News of the actor's death spread on Sunday, and early on Monday morning Delivorias posted his own farewell on his personal Instagram account.
What Delivorias wrote
Delivorias said Kalogeropoulos was the kind of artist who drank straight from the Source of the Muses every time he performed, and that his soul had already done what was needed to remain forever beside them. He said he would never forget what each of the actor's appearances meant to his heart, his language and his senses, naming his roles in Marangos, in Perakis, in "Dream of a Leftist Night," in "Camping," in "Knights of Pylos" and in all his other work. He closed the post by wishing Kalogeropoulos a good reunion somewhere in Nature.

Kalogeropoulos's career and final days
Kalogeropoulos was linked to some of the most important Greek films of the 1980s and 1990s. In recent years he had been fighting cancer, and it became known after news of his death that he had died in a public hospital.
