The fourth edition of the Premios Somos awards gala takes place tonight at the Pedro de Osma Museum in Barranco. As in previous editions, the event will begin with a red carpet arrival.
The annual awards have been held consecutively since 2023. Readers voted on 37 public categories between May 27 and July 26, 2026, recording more than 28,000 votes.
Public categories and jury awards
The 37 categories decided by public vote include Best Chicken Restaurant, Best Chifa, Best Sandwiches, Best Huarique, Best Korean Restaurant, and Best Peruvian Restaurant Abroad.
The 2026 edition introduces five specialized jury categories: Best Restaurant, Best Male Chef, Best Female Chef, Best New Restaurant, and Best Dining Room Service, alongside a lifetime achievement recognition. The jury categories distinguish project consistency, evolution, leadership, and local impact.
The evaluation panel consists of gastronomy professionals Marissa Chiappe, Hirka Roca Rey, Paola Miglio, Laura Graner, Luis Martín Alzamora, Nora Sugobono, and Pierina Denegri.
