The Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) deposited its updated voter roll of 1,551,727 members with the Central Electoral Board (JCE) in Santo Domingo on Monday. The submission was carried out as part of the party data updating process and in compliance with procedures established by the electoral authority.

PRM political delegate to the JCE Sigmund Freund Mena said the roll reflects 50/50 gender parity and includes 40 percent young people. Freund Mena stated that the figures demonstrate the commitment of the organization to youth participation and equal opportunities.

Life test mechanism

National Internal Elections Commission (CNEI) president Deligne Ascención Burgos, pictured fifth from left, said the PRM is the only party that applies a life test to verify membership authenticity. He added that the verification process validates information provided by members and prevents duplicate registrations.

Ascención Burgos and Freund Mena made the deposit alongside national electoral secretary Salvador Ramos. They were accompanied by commission members Dionicio de los Santos, executive director of the CNEI; Edgar Batista, national secretary of Technology; Elizabeth Mateo, national secretary of Communications; and commission members Robert Arias, Tomás Kelly, and Daris Sánchez.

Electoral compliance and upcoming choices

In a statement, the PRM reiterated its readiness to continue working with the JCE to ensure internal processes comply with current regulations and build public confidence in the electoral system. The party is scheduled to choose its new authorities by acclamation on August 9.
