Following a series of sold-out sessions, the production of Ruy, A História Devida announced upcoming shows on September 6, as well as October 11, October 18, and October 25. All performances are scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.

Interactive show format and tickets

The performance reveals a personal side of the actor as he shares unpublished stories from his long career. The show covers stories of love, humor, and emotion, highlighting his lesser-known role as a storyteller.

The show runs for about one hour and features an interactive format. In addition to the performance, Ruy de Carvalho will answer questions from the audience during the hour to create an intimate conversation between friends.

Tickets for the show are already on sale, with prices ranging between 20 and 25 euros.

Production team and recent work

The production by Yellow Star Company celebrates the life and legacy of the artist. The text was written by Paulo Coelho, with staging by Paulo Sousa Costa. The cast features Ruy de Carvalho alongside actor Luís Pacheco.

Ruy de Carvalho previously performed on stage in April of this year in the play A Ratoeira, which was also directed by Paulo Sousa Costa.

The actor stated that he will only stop working when he dies, adding that being on stage brings him his greatest joy. Following his stroke, he stated that work and the theatre are what give him life. In a separate matter, he expressed outrage over a decision by the Public Prosecutor's Office, describing it as unacceptable.
