Owners of Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra flagship smartphones in South Korea have reported small red dots appearing in the corners of their displays.
The issue, reported by Korean news outlet Newsway, has affected customers even after their devices were repaired for previous screen problems. Samsung has advised affected users to adjust their display color settings or visit a service center.
Complaints about the flagship device first surfaced in June, when users noticed widespread redness on their screens. Samsung declined to designate the initial problem as a manufacturing defect, stating that it could be resolved through firmware updates performed at official service centers.
Journalists at Newsway noted that the new issue involves small red dots emerging on display panels, including on devices that received free screen repairs from Samsung. Industry specialists suggested the defect primarily impacts smartphones from the initial production batch manufactured for the South Korean market.

In response to the latest complaints, Samsung recommended that customers attempt to modify their display color settings. The manufacturer invited owners to return to an authorized service center if manual adjustments failed to correct the dot artifacts.
Following the reports, theories circulated among Samsung users regarding the cause of the visual artifacts. Some owners suggested that the screens were poorly laminated during manufacturing, causing the display layers to peel apart under exposure to ultraviolet light.

RAM Plus is a virtual memory feature on Samsung devices that allocates onboard storage to act as secondary system memory, while Always On Display maintains visible screen notifications and clock information while the phone is locked.
