Former Ukraine national team head coach Serhiy Rebrov has been filmed playing padel with former Russia defender Vasili Berezutsky in Marbella, Spain.

According to a report by Russian sports outlet Sport24, video footage recorded on Monday, August 17, shows Rebrov participating in a match as a doubles partner alongside Berezutsky. The video clip was shared online on the Sports News page of VKontakte, a major Russian social networking platform.
Padel is an enclosed racket sport played predominantly in doubles, combining elements of tennis and squash. Marbella, located along the Costa del Sol in Andalusia, southern Spain, is a popular year-round destination for European sports figures, training camps, and holidaymakers.
Rebrov managerial career and Ukraine departure
Rebrov was appointed head coach of the Ukraine national team in the summer of 2023 and led the squad through international campaigns until the spring of 2026. The specialist was dismissed from his post after failing to guide the team to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
His departure followed a decisive loss to Sweden in the European qualification play-offs. Prior to managing the national side, Rebrov had built a managerial career with clubs including Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine, Ferencvaros in Hungary, and Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates, following a playing career as a prolific international striker.
Berezutsky stance on Russian sports figures
Berezutsky is a former Russian international defender who spent sixteen years at CSKA Moscow, winning six Russian Premier League titles and the 2005 UEFA Cup before retiring in 2018. CSKA Moscow, founded in 1911, is one of the most prominent football clubs in Russia.
The former central defender previously generated attention within international sport by encouraging Russian athletes to leave the country. Berezutsky stated that any athlete wishing to achieve results at a high level needs to test themselves abroad rather than remain in the domestic system.
