Olympic gymnast Simone Biles has revealed that three masked men broke into her Chicago home and stole her luxury Porsche before the vehicle was recovered.
The Team USA star shared the news in a video posted to TikTok this week. It remains unclear when the burglary occurred or whether police have made any arrests in connection with the incident, but Biles confirmed that the stolen sports car has since been retrieved.
"Feel like I need a new car because during our last few months in Chicago, three men in masks came to our house and stole my Porsche," Biles said in the video.
"Stole the GTS. But that's another story. If you guys want to know, I'll do a story time on that," she added, referring to the high-performance Gran Turismo Sport model from the German luxury automaker.
Biles shared the Chicago residence with her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens. Owens currently plays for the Indianapolis Colts after playing for the Chicago Bears during the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
"I feel like I need a reality TV show," Biles added. "The things that happen to me are absolute insanity, and so it would be really easy for producers to just film regularly."
Biles, an 11-time Olympic medalist who is widely recognized as one of the most decorated gymnasts in history, married Owens in 2023. Owens is a professional safety in the National Football League who previously played college football at Missouri Western State before launching his professional career with the Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, and Indianapolis Colts.
New Vehicle and Security Concerns
Shortly after sharing the break-in story, Biles posted another video on TikTok showing her uncovering an expensive new Lamborghini at an automobile dealership in Houston.
The gymnast noted that the Chicago burglary was one of the primary reasons she and Owens decided to get their new Doberman security dog.
Biles joins a growing list of superstar athletes who have been targeted by residential burglaries in recent years across North America and beyond.
In May, police in Argentina arrested two Chilean citizens suspected of belonging to a transnational crime ring responsible for orchestrating burglaries at the homes of prominent sports figures.
According to local law enforcement, that crime ring targeted the residences of NFL stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, as well as former professional tennis player Juan Martin del Potro. Other targets included National Basketball Association players Luka Doncic and Mike Conley Jr.
Following the break-ins involving the homes of Mahomes and Kelce, the NFL issued a security alert in 2024 to all member teams and the players' union.
Federal Bureau of Investigation officials reported that organized crime groups from South America have utilized publicly available online information and social media channels to track the habits, daily routines, and travel schedules of elite athletes.
Investigating authorities revealed that these groups used technology allowing them to bypass alarm systems, block wireless internet connections, disable electronic devices, cover security cameras, and hide their identities.
Jewelry, millions of dollars in cash, trophies, and medals were among the items stolen from residences while the athletes were away from home.
In July, another break-in took place at the home of Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley.
Sideline Support in Indianapolis
Earlier this month, Biles was seen on the sidelines supporting Owens for his first NFL game of the season.
Biles stepped onto the turf at Lucas Oil Stadium, the home venue of the Colts in downtown Indianapolis, to watch Owens make his debut for the team against the Baltimore Ravens after arriving in Indianapolis in free agency.
She continued her tradition of dressing up in custom gear featuring Owens' name and number. Arriving at the stadium in a royal blue dress made out of Owens' brand-new jerseys, his name and number were featured down the left side of the garment as well as on her chest.
