The average wholesale price of electricity in Spain came in at 94.39 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) on Sunday, August 9, according to data published by the Operador del Mercado Ibérico de la Energía (OMIE). The figure serves as a reference for consumers looking to plan appliance use and cut their daily energy costs.
The price fell again after a decline already recorded on Saturday. These figures reflect the wholesale market only and do not represent the final price paid by consumers, since household bills also include tolls, charges and taxes.
