San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams is being sued for $240,000 over claims he failed to make payments on a Porsche 911, according to TMZ.
OpenRoad Auto Group alleges Williams is 46 months late on a 48-month lease he signed in 2018. The whereabouts of the Porsche 911, valued between $75,000 and $250,000, remain unknown, according to the report.
Previous reports claimed Williams had sold the vehicle to another car company, which later sold it on despite not having the authority to do so. Williams reportedly made his first two lease payments in August and September 2021 but has allegedly failed to make another payment since.
Breach of contract and fraud claims
OpenRoad is suing the 49ers tackle for breach of contract and fraud, among a string of other legal claims. The company is reportedly seeking $244,199.28 from Williams.
The lawsuit comes just months after the 49ers signed Williams to a two-year, $50 million contract extension during the offseason.
A decorated career
Williams, 38, was named a second-team All-Pro last season. He is a 12-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro selection, with three first-team and two second-team honors.
Williams was the fourth overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft and spent his first decade with the Washington Redskins, becoming an icon for the team later renamed the Commanders. He was inducted into Washington's Greatest Players list for the franchise's 90th anniversary even after his trade to San Francisco.
Washington traded Williams in April 2020 for a 2020 fifth-round pick, used to select center Keith Ismael, and a 2021 third-round pick, used to select cornerback Benjamin St-Juste.
